End-User License Agreement — Beta
Effective: April 25, 2026
This EULA covers your use of any Dataskera viz extension installed in Tableau (the "Software") during the free Beta period running until Q1 2027.
By installing, activating, or using the Software, you accept this EULA. If you don't accept it, don't install or use the Software.
1. Who we are
Dataskera, a French limited liability company (EURL), SIREN 991 710 070, registered office at 1 rue Marguerin, 75014 Paris, France. Full entity details in the Terms of Service. Contact: contact@dataskera.com.
2. License
We grant you a license that is:
- free during the Beta;
- limited in time (duration of the Beta);
- non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable;
- worldwide;
- restricted to internal business use within your own Tableau environment.
3. What you may not do
You agree not to:
- modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the Software;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble it (except where Art. L.122-6-1 of the French Intellectual Property Code allows it for interoperability);
- resell, rent, redistribute, or sublicense it;
- remove or alter copyright, trademark, or version notices;
- circumvent the license check or any technical protection;
- use the Software to build a competing product;
- use it in life-critical environments (medical, aerospace, nuclear, weapons), where a failure could cause harm.
Breach automatically terminates the license.
4. Beta — what to expect
You acknowledge that:
- the Software is in Beta: it may contain bugs and behave unexpectedly;
- features may change or be removed without notice;
- the Beta may end at any time, including before Q1 2027;
- after the Beta, continued use will require a paid commercial license, which we'll communicate later;
- you use the Software at your own risk — keep backups, test in non-critical environments first.
5. Your data stays yours — we never see it
Dataskera does not collect, store, or transmit any data you visualize in Tableau through the Software.
The Software runs entirely inside the Tableau Extensions API sandbox, on your machine. Cell values, measures, dimensions, field names, queries, dashboards, and workbook content stay in your Tableau environment.
The only network call the Software makes to our servers is to verify your license. That's it. No telemetry, no usage tracking, no data exfiltration. Details in the Privacy Policy.
6. Intellectual property
The Software is protected by copyright. Dataskera and its licensors retain all intellectual property rights. This EULA grants you the right to use the Software, not ownership of it. The product names and logos are our trademarks.
7. No warranties
The Software is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranty of any kind: no merchantability, no fitness for a particular purpose, no warranty against hidden defects, no warranty of compatibility with any current or future version of Tableau, no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect damages — lost data, lost workbooks, lost revenue, business interruption, lost customers, reputational harm, lost opportunities, or substitution costs.
- Our total liability under this EULA, all claims combined, is capped at one hundred euros (EUR 100), since the Software is free during the Beta.
Nothing here limits our liability for willful misconduct, gross negligence, or bodily injury, as required by French law.
9. Termination
We may terminate this EULA at any time, with or without notice, for breach, at the end of the Beta, or for technical or commercial reasons.
You may terminate it at any time by uninstalling the Software.
On termination: the license ends, you stop using the Software and uninstall it. Sections 5 (data), 6 (IP), 7 (warranties), 8 (liability), and 10 (governing law) survive.
10. Governing law
This EULA is governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dataskera's registered office.
11. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement: this EULA, the Terms of Service, and the Privacy Policy form the full agreement on the Software.
- Severability: if a clause is held invalid, the rest stays in force.
- No waiver: not enforcing a clause once doesn't waive our right to enforce it later.
- Notices: sent by email to your activation address.
