Is it really free on Tableau Desktop?
Yes. Every chart, every feature, on your own machine, with nothing to sign. A Pro plan becomes relevant when you share dashboards with other people through Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud.
Who counts toward the 10 people on Pro?
Only the people who build dashboards with our charts. Everyone who opens, reads, or filters those dashboards is included at no cost, whether that is ten colleagues or your entire company.
Our dashboards are read by thousands of people. Does that change the price?
No. The price depends on how many people build, never on how many people read. A dashboard seen by ten people and a dashboard seen by ten thousand cost exactly the same.
Why is there no online checkout?
Because most companies need an invoice and a purchase order rather than a card payment, and because the right setup depends on your team. Tell us about yours through the contact form and you get a written quote within one business day.
What data do you collect?
Account details only: your email, company, and licence status. The data inside your dashboards never reaches us. Our charts draw everything directly inside Tableau, on the machine of the person viewing them.
Can you build a chart we need that does not exist?
Yes, and it is part of what Enterprise covers. We design and develop viz extensions to your specification, with the same standards as the catalogue: your data never leaves Tableau, and the chart is yours to use across your whole organisation. Tell us what you are trying to show and we will tell you what it takes.
What happens when the 30-day trial ends?
Tableau Desktop carries on with the whole catalogue, because that is free and always will be. Publishing to Tableau Server or Cloud stops, and the dashboards you published during the trial keep working for their readers. Nothing you built goes blank, and nothing is deleted.
What happens if we stop paying?
Dashboards you have already published keep working. Your readers notice nothing. You lose access to new versions and new charts, but nothing that is already in front of your audience ever goes blank.
