Terms of Service

Version 3.0Effective date: August 9, 2026

Terms of Service

Effective: August 9, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Dataskera website (dataskera.com) and the related services we provide (account management, license activation, downloads, support).

If you don't agree with these Terms, please don't use the service.

1. Who we are

Dataskera is a French limited liability company (EURL).

  • Registered office: 1 rue Marguerin, 75014 Paris, France
  • SIREN: 991 710 070
  • Share capital: EUR 1,000
  • Legal representative: Salah Eddine El Ghachi (Manager)
  • Contact: contact@dataskera.com
  • Support: support@dataskera.com

2. Definitions

  • "Service": the dataskera.com website, the customer area, the licensing API, and related features.
  • "Extension": any Tableau viz extension we publish (today: Waffle Chart; tomorrow: others).
  • "You": the company you act on behalf of when registering or using the Service.

3. Who can sign up

The Service is for business use only. By signing up, you confirm that you:

  • are an adult acting on behalf of a company or organization;
  • have the authority to accept these Terms;
  • give us accurate information (business email, company name).

4. What we offer

We give you access to the Dataskera customer area, license management, downloads, documentation, and support. The customer area itself is free of charge.

Extensions we designate as Free (currently: the Waffle Chart) are available at no cost under the EULA. Paid extensions, when offered, will be governed by their own commercial terms. We may change which extensions are designated Free for new signups; such changes never retroactively revoke access you already have.

We don't promise any specific uptime for the free Service. We do our best.

5. What you agree to

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  1. break the law or anyone else's rights;
  2. try to circumvent authentication, licensing, or rate-limiting mechanisms;
  3. scrape, bulk-download, or harvest the Service;
  4. send spam, malware, or carry out attacks of any kind through the Service;
  5. reverse engineer the Service except where French law (Art. L.122-6-1 IPC) explicitly allows it;
  6. share your login credentials;
  7. extract, reuse, or share license tokens or keys, or access the Service or any extension using a license not issued to you.

If you breach these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your access without notice.

6. Your data

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. The short version: we don't collect anything from inside the extensions; they run on your machine. We only collect what's needed to run your account and answer your support tickets.

7. Our intellectual property

Everything in the Service (code, design, text, trademarks, documentation) belongs to Dataskera or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for your internal business needs.

The "Dataskera" name and logo are our trademarks. Don't use them without written permission.

8. Termination

You can close your account anytime by writing to support@dataskera.com.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or fail security checks. For non-fault termination, we'll give you 30 days' notice when reasonably possible.

After termination, license access is revoked immediately. We retain data only for the periods stated in the Privacy Policy.

9. Warranties and liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties of merchantability, fitness for purpose, error-free operation, or continuous availability.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect damages (loss of data, lost revenue, lost customers, reputational harm, lost opportunities).
  • Our total liability, however arising, is capped at the greater of one hundred euros (EUR 100) or the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for willful misconduct, gross negligence, or bodily injury, as required by French law.

You are responsible for your use of the Service and you'll defend us against any third-party claim caused by your breach of these Terms.

10. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failures caused by force majeure under Article 1218 of the French Civil Code (network outages, large-scale cyberattacks, government decisions, etc.).

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. For material changes, we'll email registered users at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the change.

Version history:

  • v3.0 (August 9, 2026): the free offer is no longer framed as a time-limited Beta: Free extensions are described as a standing designation, and the liability cap is no longer scoped to a "Beta period".
  • v2.0 (April 25, 2026): initial public version.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that can't be resolved amicably falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dataskera's registered office.
